Alexandr Voronovici is a project research associate at the University of Manchester.
He obtained his PhD in Comparative History from Central European University (CEU) in Budapest. Dr. Voronovici has held teaching and research positions at the universities in Hungary, Moldova, and Russia as well as several visiting fellowships in Europe and North America. He has published widely on the history of East European contested borderlands, Soviet nationality policies, separatism and de facto states, and memory politics.
